Top Five Things to Do in (and on the way to) Dubai

November 10, 2015

Dubai

The December holidays are the perfect time to travel, with so many vacation days from work often built right in. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to do it in a while, the last trip I took during the holidays being to Costa Rica. I am, however, hoping to be able to do it again this December. Another extraordinary place that I’ve been to in a December past is Dubai.

Dubai has undoubtedly become one of the most popular destinations in recent years. The weather is great in December and there is so much to do. I’m particularly excited about the Hunger Games theme park opening there in 2016, and may just have to go back again for it!

Below is my list of top five things to do on your way to, and while in, Dubai to experience it in its full glory. Do them all, and you’ll be certain to have a wonderful trip!

Travel In Style

As far as I’m concerned, wasting extra money on the journey is pointless for short-haul flights. However, depending on where you are, traveling to Dubai can take many hours. Of course, we can’t all afford that first class experience. But, you should at least book with one of the better airlines to ensure you get basic comforts while on your flight. You can research and compare the different airlines at http://.dubaiairports.ae/.

Stay In Luxury Accommodation

Dubai has plenty to offer, but great accommodation is easily one of the standout features. Dubai is one of the world’s most luxurious destinations after all. Staying at one of the Palm Island resorts will highlight those sentiments perfectly. Even if you don’t choose to stay at the Palm Island resorts, it’s important to choose a comfortable hotel. You will probably spend a fair portion of your vacation relaxing in the glorious sun. Let’s face it, you will enjoy this much more if you are by a luxury pool ;).

Take A Trip To The Desert

Holidays are a great chance to recharge the batteries, and Dubai is one of the best places to do this. However, it would be criminal to visit such a wonderful destination without exploring it. Taking a day trip to the desert will provide you with a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you’ll remember fondly for years. This can be the key to turning a great holiday into an unforgettable one. Shop Until You Drop

Dubai is commonly referred to as the shopping capital of the Middle East. In truth, it is a shopaholic’s paradise. Even if you aren’t motivated by material possessions, you should go to the world’s biggest mall simply for the experience. Right now, I’m loving the combination of black, white and red. However, I’m sure you’ll be able to find something no matter what your style is.

Eat All The Food

Nobody can honestly say that throwing their diet out of the window isn’t one of the best things about a vacation. Unsurprisingly, Dubai is home to many great restaurants. You can find out which ones are the best by visiting http://.timeoutdubai.com/. Dubai has great options for all taste preferences. Vegetarians will appreciate the wide selection of meat-free dishes as well. You might return home weighing a few more pounds heavier, but it’s well worth the sacrifice. After all, what’s the point in going away if you can’t enjoy it to the max?

Hope you are able to get away this holiday season, whether it’s somewhere local, domestic or international. XOXO
