Ramblings of a girl fashionably traveling the world

Holiday Gift Guide 2016!

December 12, 2016

Happy Monday loves! For those of you that celebrate, Christmas and Hanukkah are a little less than 2 weeks away! I know there are many of you that are like me and do your holiday shopping at the very last minute. In fact, my family and I have a tradition of going to the mall together every year on the 24th of December for a last minute shopping spree for each other!

In the spirit of gifting I’ve collected a few goodies that are particularly useful and unique for my like-minded travel, food and fashion lovers!

Food and Drink

Hot Toddy Kits

I discovered Hot Toddy spice kits from Oliver Pluff & Co when I was traveling in Boston a couple of weeks ago, and immediately picked them up as gifts for my family. I’m a huge fan of warm drinks during cold temperatures, especially of the spiked variety! 😉 These kits are the perfect gift for the crafty cocktail makers in your life!

Freixenet Cava

For those of you that don’t know, Champagne is the name for a type of sparkling wine that comes from the Champagne region in France! For the longest time I was mistaken and totally thought all sparkling wine was called Champagne! Though Champagne is the most popular type of sparkling wine, ever since I went to Spain I’ve been drinking another type of sparking wine regularly. Cava is just as delicious as Champagne but much more affordable! A local favorite that I discovered while there was the brand Freixenet – the bottle looks super cool and its the perfect hostess gift.

Truffle Oil

I can’t say I know a single person who doesn’t love the taste of truffles! When I was in Italy earlier this year I loaded up on truffle everything. Since then I’ve been using truffle oil in my cooking regularly and I will never go back! Oils are much cheaper than actually buying truffles whole and still contain a significant amount of flavor.

Home Decor

Voluspa Glass Votive Candles

Voluspa candles are my go-to candles for home decor. They make my home smell amazing and they last practically forever! I’m particularly a fan of their candles that have pretty glass jars such as the Voluspa Glass Maison Candle.

Steel Penguin Shaker

How cute is this guy? Any party will be instantly a hit with a fun penguin shaker in hand. I’m gifting multiple of these cute Penguin Shakers this holiday season.

College Maps Barware

For someone with a lot of school pride (UCLA Bruins what what!), Maps Barware from Uncommon Green is the way to go! I own the pint barware set – its great quality and so fun to drink from!

Beauty and Accessories

Holiday Accessories

I’m a big fan of holiday accessories and themed dressing. Some of my current holiday favorites are this Ring and Bauble Stretch Bracelet and the Gift Bow Pendant Necklace from Charming Charlie. Charming Charlie has a whole host of festive items for whatever holiday you are celebrating!

Aveda Hand Relief Moisture Creme

What’s better than supporting a good cause and also doing good for your body at the same time? I love Aveda products in general, they have the most intoxicating aromas! This hand relief creme smells equally amazing and provides extensive moisture to my often very dry hands. In addition, it supports cruelty-free breast cancer research.

Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Bold Liquid Lipstick

In case you haven’t noticed, I’m a big fan of bold lip colors, especially when I’m heading out for the night. Elizabeth Arden’s Beautiful Color Bold Liquid Lipstick line goes on incredibly smooth, lasts long, and has an easy applicator that doesn’t leave a mess. I’m a big fan, and have used these lipsticks in most of my recent looks on Instagram.

Bed Bug Detection Kit

I had a serious bed bug scare at a hotel I was staying at over the summer and I would have loved to have known for sure whether there were bed bugs in my room or not. You just never know where those pesky bugs will appear when traveling. Luckily, I’ve now discovered the Bed Bugs No More! Detect and Treat Combo Kit. It allows for detection and treatment so that you do not bring any gross bed bugs home with you!

Belif Bestsellers On-the-Go

Anyone who is a beauty lover knows all about the amazing skincare products coming out of Korea. Belif, a Korean beauty and skincare company, has put together an awesome travel friendly (carry-on sizes) bag full of their amazing products. I use this Belif travel kit regularly, and I use Belif’s moisturizer every morning!

Go City Card

If you know of anyone traveling to any of 13 big cities in the US anytime soon (NYC, Chicago or Boston, for example), a perfect gift to give them is the Go City Card, a multi-attraction pass. The Card can be delivered to your smart phone and can save the holder up to 55% off attraction entry fees vs. purchasing individual entry tickets for each attraction. Can’t really go wrong with that!

Happy shopping and happy holidays loves! XOXO
