As a constant purveyor of information on my travels, I originally started Damask Suitcase to write down all of my ramblings in one place for future ease (and so that I could remember all of my travels)! Now, it’s evolved into a blog about my general life, which includes my many travels, local, domestic and international, as well as my fashion choices during those travels. Not a professional by any means, I love to explore new places and cultures, and to delve deep into the things that make other people and worlds tick.
My personal goal is to visit at least two new countries a year, pretty challenging when you have a regular full-time job, but I’ve made the most of my time off thus far, and hope to be able to keep it up. I’ve stuck to that goal for the past 5 years (three so far this year), and I’ve been to 22 countries in my life thus far!
If you have wondered where the name Damask Suitcase comes from, it’s a melding of my two loves – fashion and travel. Damask is my favorite print, I’m constantly drawn to it, and Suitcase represents my passion for travel.
