An Afternoon Break with Tazo Tea

September 30, 2016

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Tazo® Tea. All opinions are 100% mine.

Happy Friday lovelies! I’m so not a morning person, but these days I’ve had to wake up extremely early to get to work. I recently switched jobs and my new office requires me to be at work an hour earlier than my old one. You wouldn’t think it’s that big of a time difference, but to my body it is! At my old job, I drank one cup of caffeine (either coffee or tea) in the morning and that was all I needed to get through the day. Nowadays, however, I need a jolt of caffeine in the morning and in the afternoon to last the whole work day. When I have to wake up super early on the weekdays, my energy levels are messed up all day.

With my current two a day caffeine schedule, I tend to drink tea in the afternoon so that the caffeine so late in the day doesn’t affect my ability to sleep at night. Because of this concern, I look for something a little lighter for the afternoons but that still has the jolt I need to get me through the rest of the day. It’s also freezing year-round in my office (any other ladies feel me?!). So, I’ve recently been bringing my own tea bags to the office and taking my afternoon break in that way. I’ll make a cup of tea and step outside of the office just to get some fresh air in my lungs (saving money and time in the process!) My go-to tea for this afternoon break is a hot cup of Tazo Tea’s Awake™ English Breakfast.

Despite the name it’s not just a tea you drink in the mornings! It has definitely kept me from falling asleep at my desk on multiple occasions. I love black teas, and this is one of Tazo® Tea‘s best, in my opinion. I also love the name, as the wanderluster in me thinks of Britain and its tradition of afternoon tea.

Of course, I love all of the Tazo Tea flavors generally. I may be a little biased though, since I have been a loyal brand consumer for years now. 😉 Tazo Teas are made with quality tea leaves, spices and botanicals that create unexpected blends that are always delicious. Most importantly, it’s a name I trust to make good tea. I buy my Tazo Tea at a local Duane Reade, which is so convenient because the grocery store is a bit of a walk for me from my apartment and/or office.

I’m dying to head back to my local store and try out two other flavors, Passion® and Zen™. Hope you get a chance to try one for yourself soon! XOXO
