St. George’s Castle has some of the best views of the city of Lisbon, the capital of Portugal! I couldn’t get enough of the views and this city. If you take the trolley up to the castle, the walk from the drop off to the entrance of the castle is lovely, and the castle grounds themselves are easily walkable. The castle is actually part castle and part fortress, and has protected the people of Lisbon (through various empires and rulers) for centuries. You may even spot some peacocks wandering about the grounds!
